In 2016 I worked with Oxfam International and animation agency Hands Up to produce a short film for a global audience about how social norms can support violence against women, to launch Oxfam’s ENOUGH campaign.
I managed the project, and worked on concept and script development. When it was launched the film received over 50,000 organic views on Facebook and over 4,000 reactions, comments, and shares. I also produced a social media strategy and wrote long and short copy for other launch materials.
“Sarah provided excellent strategic input and oversaw the inclusive and participatory process of developing and delivering our flagship launch product (an animation). She also drafted other key communication products for the launch period.
Sarah’s open and participatory approach was vital for the campaign, which aimed to produce global products that were useful for country teams – she successfully worked with several country offices to ensure products met their needs and their voices were heard in development processes.
Sarah’s strong communication skills and women’s rights background meant we could quickly develop messaging/products that were supporter friendly, whilst adhering to feminist principles.”
